
Established in 1972, Yorkshire Care Equipment is a name that is trusted throughout the north of England. Our organisation has evolved over the years from when it was first instituted in the early 1970s in Headingly, Leeds. In 1988 the business moved to larger premises in Rawdon, Leeds, and in 1995 the business was taken over by the current partners.
The Harrogate branch was opened the following year, and Yorkshire Care Equipment continued to grow, leading to an extension of the Harrogate premises in 2002. As the product range and stock levels increased, and as new staff were recruited, more space became required, and in 2004 the partners made the decision to extend again – at the Leeds branch this time.
A big step was taken at the end of 2009, when the Harrogate branch moved to a modern large showroom further down the road from the previous shop. This offers much more showroom and office space and easier parking, the benefits of which are enjoyed by both customers and staff. A large warehouse now enables us to keep more stock and hire equipment, thus helping us to meet our clients demands more closely.
Our care for each individual customer is reflected in many ways. One of these is in the way we always strive to provide a full back-up service. We have invested in our staff to ensure expert knowledge.
Our own engineers carry out installations, servicing and repairs in a considerate and professional manner, and any emergency repairs are dealt with as soon as possible. Our advisors are well-trained, friendly and helpful, as it is important to us that the most suitable piece of equipment is identified for each individual. To help us in this aim we constantly improve and source new innovative products, from both this country and worldwide. To complete our service we also offer equipment for hire in situations where there is a short term need.
